I still remember when I was a kid...
How much I wished that my birthday would hurry and come!
All year round, I kept waiting and hoping that my mom and dad would throw me a great party and present me with the kind of presents I had been wishing for all year long?
Thinking, how cool it was to invite all of our friends and other children from school to the party, hoping that all of them could come to my party? Of course we all must have liked the fact that we were going to be a whole year older and turning into a big girl or boy now. Remember how sweet that was, back then?
Looking back, perhaps that was the only time in our life that we all wished to add up an extra year to our age! How proud it was to shout "I just turned 16 years old" or "I'm 18" or how about "I'm now 21 years old!"
The most cherished memories that adults have of their childhood is about their birthdays and all the unique birthday gifts they received, in fact some people still keep those birthday gifts up to now!
At this point in life, each day is just like the others. The only difference between days is the weather, the time the sun rises and sets, place and of course freinds. Otherwise we just have the days go on the same. The sun comes up in the eastern sky and sets down in the western sky. Sounds familiar?
Can’t we tell ourself, for millions of years this has been happening and will keep on until there is an end to the earth. What is it about one day in particular that we should value it more than another day anyway?
All days are the same right, so we try to convince ourself. Eventual we conclude, it was a good day if we enjoy the activities on that day. If we don't we consider it a useless or boring day.
"May be, we all might be wrong!
It is not the day that is different, but our wishes, moods, problems, outlook, failures, meetings and other activities on the day. In fact, it is quite easy to put some sparkle and magic back in your birthday.
Now, Have you ever wondered how you could make someone’s day?
With a little thought, Just type in Google ‘How to make or spoil anyone’s day?
You would get plenty of good ideas but the best of all which you will appreciate is “Fresh flowers can be the sweetest gift of all to send.”
It's interesting to note that the two most common words in English proverbs are 'good' and 'never'. (Read Somewhere and written here)
Let me correlate these two words with ‘Flower’
‘Good in the sense Flowers have indeed become very common while giving somebody that gentle feeling of happiness is concerned. Since flowers are arguably the only existence that remain uncorrupted and untangled with, people relate to this sentiment well and accept flowers as a token and messenger of joy, happiness and cheerfulness’.
‘Never because different flowers are chosen for different occasions. Flowers reach where they ought to with the right sentiment concealed in them and gracefully spread that feeling once they are in the receiver's hands’.
In the end, I feel like dignifying the conclusion ‘Agar kisi ko phool dena chahte ho to do na, kahe ko ye sab bakwas gyaan padh rahe ho’.
